Vegas Rocks The Podcast Hosts
I got my introduction to Rock music in 1983 when I was 11. Shout at the Devil by Mötley Crüe just released and I was hooked! I started taking drum lessons the next year, but that was put on hold because of the "noise". That still didn't stop my love for rock music. My close friend's Dad introduced me to Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, and so many more bands of the time. Though I liked the more Classic Rock, I've always been a "Metal Head". The 80's were a great time for music! Over the years as the music got harder, Metallic didn't seem to be so hard anymore.
Another love of mine is videography. I started shooting off-road races here in the Las Vegas Valley back in 2007 that eventually morphed into a 13 episode show about building off-road trucks in 2011. Now my passion is shooting all the talented bands that perform in the Las Vegas area, which lead us to starting this amazing podcast "Vegas Rocks The Podcast"!!! - Adem
Music plays many roles in my life. While I'm not necessarily "musically inclined", as in I can't play an instrument, I'd consider myself consumer of the art. My mood determines what I listen to on any given day, and as I reflect on it, it's kind of led me along specific paths or phases in my life. There's no doubt I'm a contemplative, person, especially when I'm alone, so I'll lean toward a meditation melody or my "chill" playlist just for relaxation purposes. When I'm driving, it's most likely 80's pop... and I've been known to belt out an old 70's country song or two while cleaning the house.
There's also a side of me that always struggled with approval. I was an outgoing introvert often, but it strangely allowed me to slowly let my guard down. I attended more events, started to feel at ease with crowds, and then, the world opened up for me. It led me down a further path of exploration into the rock genre I've always loved. Being in a group of like minded people taking in a live band playing music you love...well that to me is the best feeling of acceptance..and is most definitely where I'm the most comfortable!
Now as I have entered this new chapter of my life, my stack of vinyl and collection of band tees is growing, along with my journey. Relocating to Vegas and being surrounded by live music has been such a treat. Getting to know the musicians has been an added bonus. I am so impressed beyond words at their dedication to their craft and to their fans. Above all else, we're here to fun and share our experiences with you! - Sheri
